CHRISS' CUB PAGE
Chris' Cub is the perfect example of what a galvanized body is all about...the paint may fall off but it won't rust! In all seriousness this is a problem with using galvanised metal if it is not primed correctly the paint has difficulty sticking.

What Chriss has to say about his Cub:- I purchased my Cub last year from a farmer near Devises although it was running it was and still is very tatty, I am hoping over time to get it looking reasonable, I dont have a lot of money nor can I do a lot of the work to get it as good as others on the web site.
The first problems were getting it through an MOT as the wheels were not acceptable as the stud holes had worn oval which is why the photos show it with 12inch standard mini wheels, they were difficult to get hold of, now it has a set of 13inch wellers so it doesnt ground anymore. I have also painted the floor with a hardwearing paintlike substance, I have been offered a 1275 engine complete with discs etc so I have to find someone nearby to hopefully fit it, when I have it running well I will attempt to get the existing paint off, which shouldnt be too hard and the repaint useing an etch primer, I cant afford a professional paint job nor can I do a lot of the work as I suffer from rheaumatoid atheritis. Anyway it still is a supberb fun vehicle and a lot better than any of the mokes I have owned, great fun to drive, Im hoping to get a canopy to fit it just to keep the rain off. Time and money will tell.
