Brooklands 2006

When this Cub was spotted on ebay by Wayne it was called "Foxy" by its then owners Alan & Corina, below is what they said about it...

MINI MOKE LOOK-A-LIKE
ANDERSON CUB
First registered April 1991
Meet “Foxy”, our fun and fabulous Moke Look-a-Like. Another of our very many cars, who now has to be sold to raise money to rebuild the others – we still have 10 cars and this is meant to be another sensible moment!!! MOT ‘til 25th August 2006, is taxed until the end of October and ready to drive away. These are quite rare and there are not many in this sort of condition – YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.
FOXY:
• Kit Car based on a Mini 1100
• Fully galvanised body – no rust
• Aluminium tread plate floor and side panels
• Great fun car – turns heads! You’ll need to use the headlight flash often, ‘cos everyone wants to wave at you
• Low mileage – only 49022
• Full wet weather gear
• Alloy wheels
• Specially designed towing frame – attach it to your camper van

Wayne went to visit Foxy and her former owner Paul, He was quite supprised Foxy was not as red as the pictures sugested, it is not a base red as you would expect from the pictures on eBay but was a metalic red which Wayne thought was Rover Nightfire Red (Paul has bought some touch up from Halfords - they have the best non manufaturer paints Wayne has used - and it seems Wayne was right)as used on Metros & Minis a nice eye catching colour. The other supprising item on Foxy is the rear seat...it is from a Suzuki 4x4 probably a SJ410

Paul worked on Foxy over the winter ('05/'06) having the alloys referbished and the bumpers and rollbar repainted black and he had lots of other work done too. Sadly Paul only got to enjoy Foxy on one run to Brooklands Museum and then had to sell her.

Foxy is now living on the Isle of Wight with a doctor - the say laughter is the best medicine well Cub bring lots of smiles so lets hope they are good medicine too!
